The Village Café at 74 Doncaster Road has been a meeting place of choice at North Balwyn Village for many years. This festive season a new menu will greet your palette. There are more sweets and more Christmas treats on offer.
Top sweets favourites are the almond croissants, as are the muffins and gingerbread.
The food at The Village Café is made on site.
The Village Café owner Peter Lemonis says, “We have been adding to the current menu to keep it always looking fresh and interesting.”
“We’ve introduced freshly baked bread from Ed’s Breads who bake locally in a purpose-built kitchen in North Balwyn.
“Our most popular meals include poached eggs on potato and herb rosti, bacon, cheese and relish.
“The mediterranean omelette with tomato and capsicum is another popular meal as is our ‘Big Feed’ and the Benedict.”
Peter Lemonis says once the morning brunch rush is done, the tastebuds move to the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato), the wagyu burger and the slow cooked lamb.
Anyone looking for a gift or two can also not only enjoy the gift to their tastebuds with The Village Café great menu, but customers can purchase gift vouchers, keep cups and hamper packages made up of many of the sweet treats on offer.
