AFLW star Shelby Knoll to visit The Village

Calling all fans of the AFLW to come to North Balwyn Village on Friday, 28 July from 4-5pm to meet one of the AFLW heroes Shelby Knoll.

We’re also hosting a sausage sizzle barbecue on the shopping strip organised by our wonderful butcher extraordinaire Andrew Bennet of Meat in a Box located at 68A Doncaster Road. For a gold coin donation you’ll snag the best snag in town.

AFLW player Shelby Knoll was drafted this year to the Richmond Football Club after an impressive season with Castlemaine and the Casey Demons in the VFLW.

Shelby Knoll booted 52 goals in 16 games in Castlemaine’s 2022 premiership side, including bags of nine and six goals in two games.

Shelby Knoll, who has a twin brother, was inspired by her family, particularly her grandad, to take up football at 14 years of age and has since shown her strengths in contested marking, her aerial ability in flight, and athleticism.

Shelby’s visit to North Balwyn Village will also promote the Auskick program $60 for 6 weeks, a guaranteed AFLW half time experience and awesome goodies starting Monday 31 July and finishing 4 September being held at the Balwyn North Auskick Centre. Registrations are open. For more information email: AFL House participation coordinator Alexandra.amvazas@afl.com.au or phone: 0451 189 622.

The program is tailored for for 5-12 year-olds

So hang around after school on Friday 28 July and come to the Village, North Balwyn and meet favourite AFLW star Shelby Knoll.
