There’s a new face to greet you at The Village Café and that’s new owner Peter Lemonis who has purchased the business recently.
While there’s management at the helm, everything else stays the same and Peter is looking forward to meeting all the locals and customers over the coming months to show you the same top quality service diners have been enjoying over the years.
Peter says he’s loved coming to North Balwyn Village for years.
“As a family we’ve frequented this shopping strip on a regular basis. We’ve always loved the food and hospitality at The Village Café,” Peter Lemonis says.
“We knew Sam (the previous owner) was keen to retire and as a family we’ve been involved in hospitality in the past, owning cafes.
“We live in Doncaster and when we would drop off our daughter to school in Kew, breakfast was always at The Village Café and also popping in after school pick up.
“North Balwyn Village is a beautiful shopping strip and we’ve regularly come here,” Peter Lemonis says.
The Village Café is staying the same. In fact Peter Lemonis says the team is staying the same and customers will continue to be greeted by Kamilo, Mo, the two Ellas, Elisa, Lily, Amin, Joseph, Amalia, Michael, Raj, Nancy and Damian.
“We want to keep everything warm and inviting and even the name is staying the same.
“We want people to know they can expect the same hospitality and service they are used to. We want to make them feel at home and that this is their second home to feel relaxed.”
The Village Café menu sports some of the best favourites including The Village special breakfast, burgers, risotto, seafood hotpot, calamari salad and the smashed avocado flies out the door.
